Generally, Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan never missed a chance to criticize Narendra Modi but this time he compared himself with Modi. He said he shared many qualities with Modi like ‘making tea’, ‘playing drums’ and ‘dressing properly’. That is why he is a ‘fit candidate’ for the Prime Minister post.
He stated about his qualities at the e-rickshaw distribution function, “I have all the qualities of becoming Prime Minister. I can make tea, play the drum, cook food and I wear proper clothes. Besides, I am not all that bad looking or am I corrupt.”
At the event Khan was sarcastic about Modi’s ‘chaiwala’ beginning, his drum playing in Japan and Tanzania.
Azam Khan said that if he would become the PM he will assure to deposit 20 lakh in the accounts of 130 crore people and that is also within six months. “I am not like those who don’t keep their promises.” He slammed Modi over his poll promise to deposit 15 lakh in each and every Indians’ accounts.
He also stated that if the money was deposited then nobody would be poor and would not take e-rickshaws to earn their livelihood “but would have been ‘crore-patis’ (millionaires)”.
Mr. Khan asserted, “A rickshaw puller always faces difficulty in getting his daughter married because the probable groom’s family rejects the proposal because of his social status and work.”
He also criticized Modi over cross border issue.“At a time when tension rages at the border and our poor are going hungry, he (Modi) sends ‘shawls’ to Pakistan and gets in return boxes of mangoes.”
Khan even attacked media by saying that it was better to watch entertainment channels than news channels.
