People are suffering extremely across the country due to sudden cancellation of the old notes by the central government. Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee went down into the streets on Monday to protest. At the end of the procession, Banerjee raised her voice against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the rally.
Trinomool leader walked in the procession from College Square to Dorina crossing in Dharmatala. At the end of the procession, she strongly criticized Modi government’s decision of note cancellation and therefore the harassment of common people at Dharmatala rally.
At the beginning of her speech, she claimed to cancel the cancellation of the old 500 and Rs 1,000. Besides, she called to protest against central for the harassment of human beings due to absence of cash across the country.
The decision was a total waste said Mamata. On Monday she said, “Modi government had decided to cancel the notes without a plan. He is sleeping after taking the decision and made the country a hell. People of all walks of life have been closed in lack of cash.”
Banerjee said “Cashless country, faceless Modi”.
She further said, “despite giving income tax, common people have no right to spend their own money. This protest is not only Trinamool’s, everybody should come down against it.”
