India’s most wanted don Dawood Ibrahim has suffered a massive heart-attack and has stopped responding to his treatment. The don was undergoing a treatment in Karachi.

But his men claimed that Dawood is absolutely fine although reports saying another thing that his condition was very serious. Dawood’s health was deteriorating since the past two years. Chhota Shakeel, the second in command to Dawood denied all reports about his illness.

The don has crippling gangrene in his legs and was being treated at his home in Clifton area of Karachi.

According to the sources, on Friday night at around 7 pm, he was admitted to the Aga Khan hospital. Around 5 pm, Dawood complained he felt uneasiness while breathing. His condition was deteriorating at 5:30 pm, he was then shifted to the hospital where a specialised team of doctors started his treatment.

It is said that his condition is very critical and he has not been responding to treatment. The entire hospital zone is under high security and no one is allowed into the hospital.

However, Pakistan hasn’t confirmed the news yet, probably because the confirmation means Pakistan admitting Dawood is in the country. Despite India’s pressure on Pakistan over proof of Dawood’s living, Pakistan has always maintained a secrecy that he is not in the country.

After the 1993 blast, Dawood was provided a safe hiding place in Karachi. He was continuing his drug business from Karachi.

The don lives in the lush Clinton locality of Karachi in a house that extent over 6,000 square yards.

Following a crackdown on the underworld in Mumbai in the 1980s, he fled from India and allegedly stayed in Dubai. He was spotted in Dubai attending film parties and cricket matches. But after the 1993 blasts, he fled to Pakistan and since then he has been living there.

He is charged with masterminding the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts and it killed more than 250 people. It is said he has had links with al-Qaeda and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
