Violence in Kashmir is a regular incident. Three soldiers injured on Wednesday morning when militants attacked an army convoy in North Kashmir’s Handwara. The army barricaded the area and launched a search operation to find out the militants.
According to locals, the militants attacked when the convoy was on its way from Kupwara to Baramulla. The attack occurred on the Baramulla-Handwara highway near Kralgund Udipora village. The police control room Handwara said, “The details are pouring in. Police officials have rushed to the spot.”
A senior official stated that one of the three injured is in critical condition and he was sent to the Army Hospital in Srinagar.
This is the second attack on army convoy within one month. A similar attack on an army convoy took place on 17th August on the national highway at Khawjabagh Baramulla. The attack killed two soldiers and a police man. Then the militants fled from the area.
