War Of Words At UNGA: After Pakistan Its Time For India To Reply; Call The Nation “Terrorist State”

unga meeting

Hours after Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif raised Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly, India demonstrated on Thursday how strong its Right of Reply. India called the neighbor country a “terrorist state” and accused the state executed “war crimes” against Indians through its “long-standing policy” of sponsoring terrorism.

Earlier, on Wednesday Nawaz Sharif at the UNGA raised the Kashmir issue with all the world leaders including the US, the UK, Turkey and Japan and sought their intervention to solve the matter.

Eenam Gambhir, the First Secretary in the Permanent Mission of India to the UN said that terrorism was the worst violation of human rights.

She stated, “When practiced as an instrument of state policy it is a war crime. What my country and our other neighbors are facing today is Pakistan’s long-standing policy of sponsoring terrorism, the consequences of which have spread well beyond our region.”

Ms Gambhir referred the terror outfit leaders JeM chief Masood Azhar and Mumbai terror attack mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and said these terrorists including some UN designated, continued to roam freely in the streets of Pakistan and with the nation’s support they operated their terror act.

External Affairs Minister MJ Akbar also commented anti-Pakistan words, he mentioned the state as “immature” and “full of threats”. In a press conference he stated that Pakistan, now acting like a war machine rather than government.

He also said that the neighbor wanted a dialogue but holding a terrorist gun in his hand. “Our position on a dialogue has been consistent. We have always been ready for a dialogue, but we will not succumb to the blackmail and tactics of a government in Islamabad that seems eager to use terrorist and terrorism as policy.”

Slammed Pakistan of praising Burhan Wani

Akbar slammed Pakistan for glorifying terrorist Wani. He condemned that the leader of the state praised a self-identified, self-declared terrorist at such a meeting.

“We heard the glorification of a terrorist. Wani was a self-declared commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen. This organization is widely acknowledged as a terrorist group internationally. This is self incrimination.”

He said Sharif’s speech in which he attacked India over the Kashmir issue at the UNGA was full of threats and also the actual facts were missing. The Union minister stated that the only occupation in Kashmir (Indian part) was the occupation by Pakistan’s occupation army.

Ms. Gambhir said Pakistan was practicing terrorism on its own people and it was a democracy deficit country. “We heard the glorification of a terrorist. Wani was a self-declared commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen. This organization is widely acknowledged as a terrorist group internationally. This is self incrimination.”

Ivy League of Terrorism

Ms Gambhir said that once the greatest learning centre of ancient world, Taxila, now turned to a host of Ivy League of Terrorism which attracted the aspiring terrorists from all over the world.

She said that their toxic effect have spread throughout the whole world and the country which established itself as the epicentre of terrorism, now preached human rights to the world.

Talking about the Uri attack she said, “That terrorist attack is part of a trail of continuous flow of terrorists trained and armed by our neighbor and tasked to carry out terrorist attacks in my country.”

India’s comment against Pakistan was a strategic point to isolate the country in the intentional ground. This was the outcome after the Uri attack in which a terrorist outfit based on Pakistan attacked Uri military camp in Kashmir and killed 18 soldiers.
