Apanjan (1968) – Mere Apne(1971)

Tapan Sinha directed Apanjan is a 1968 bengali movie starring Chhaya Devi, Swaroop Dutta.

This film inspired Gulzar to make Mere Apne in 1971 starring Meena Kumari, Vinod Khanna and Shatrughan Sinha.

Atithi (1965) – Geet Gata Chal (1975)

Atithi is a 1965 film directed by Tapan Sinha. The main casts Geeta Mukherjee, Ajitesh Bandyopadhyay, Bankim Ghose.

Geet Gata Chal directed by Hiren Nag in 1975. The film stars Sachin, Sarika, Madan Puri.

Pandit Moshai (1951) – Khushboo (1975)

Naresh Mitra directed this Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel in 1951.

Later Gulzar in 1975 directed the Hindi film Khushboo in 1975 and the lead casts Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Asrani, Farida Jalal, Sarika and Sharmila Tagore.

Uttar Falguni (1963) – Mamta (1966)

Asit Sen directed Uttar Falguni in 1963, starring Suchitra Sen in a double role, Bikash Roy and Dilip Mukherjee.

After the success Asit Sen remade his own movie into Hindi as Mamta in 1966. The movie starred Suchitra Sen, Ashok Kumar and Dharmendra.

Deep Jweley Jai (1959) – Khamoshi (1969)

Asit Sen directed Deep Jweley Jai released in 1959 and the main casts Suchitra Sen, Anil Chatterjee.

Ten years later he directed this in Hindi as khamoshi in 1969, starring Rajesh Khanna and Waheeda Rehman.

Chalachal (1956) –Safar (1970)

Chalachal is a Bengali movie directed by Asit Sen in 1956. The movie starred Arundhati Debi, Anil Chatterjee, Asit Baran, Jahar Roy.

He remade it as Safar which released in 1970 and the lead casts Ashok Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore and Feroz Khan.
