The Indian Army seized one of the Lashkar militants, Bahadur Ali, from Naogaon sector of Kupwara district in Kashmir on Tuesday. He was arrested during a gun battle and four other terrorists were killed.
Bahadur Ali, alias Saifullah (22) who is a resident of Lahore, is a trained Hafiz Seed-led Lashkar-i-taiba terrorist. Police seized 23 thousand cash, three AK-47 rifle and two pistols.
The encounter only shows how Pakistan has been taking benefit of the civilian turmoil in the Valley, officials said. This is the 2nd time in two months a Pakistani terrorist has been arrested alive in the border district. “It is a big success to catch a terrorist alive. The reality of Pakistan will come to the front,” said Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home.
Life, however, is yet to return to normal in Kashmir despite the lifting curfew after 17 days and the separatists calling off their lock-down for half day on Tuesday.
Since the killing of Burhan Wani, a terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen, on July 8, Kashmir had been witnessing protests. 47 people were killed and more than 2,500 were injured in the firing between the people and the Border Security Forces (BSF).
Pakistan has become the base of militants to create continuous terror in IndiaBahadur’s arrest from Lahore proved that once again.
