Dhoni Was Pressurized To Leave His Captaincy By BCCI!!

MS Dhoni hadn’t left his captaincy voluntarily. He was forced to leave under pressure from the board. This new information came to the front after he decided to leave captaincy from limited over cricket.

BCCI on Wednesday announced that after leaving test captaincy, Dhoni had decided to leave the captaincies of One-day and T20 tournaments as well. But some source said that board was forcing Dhoni to leave captaincy.

On last week, during Ranji Trophy semi-finals in Nagpur, MS Prasad, BCCI chairman of the Selection Committee held a meeting with Dhoni. He praised Dhoni’s decision after board announced his retirement.

But all these was nothing but pretense. Actually, since September last year, Virat Kohli was supposed to be the captain. For that reason, the new Selection Committee was formed on September 21. Pressure was given to him for World Cup’19.

He was said that he will be almost 39 year old in the next World Cup. This is the ideal time to step down and hand over the responsibility to Kohli.

Last week in Jharkhand, during the Ranji Trophy, Dhoni was working as a consultant. There, the issue was again was taken up, he didn’t delay to take his decision.

The Virat Kohli led India won five consecutive Tests, while, India didn’t succeed in One-day series. Last year, India lost to Australia in 4-1 and in 2015 we lost to South Africa in our home field. Last year, India lost six One-day matches in total. India reached the semi-final in 2015 T20 World-cup, but lost against Australia. So Dhoni wasn’t too late to take the decision, indeed.
