Krishnamoorthy Who Claims Himself Jayalalithaa’s Son Arrested For Forged Documents

J Krishnamoorthy who claimed himself the son of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was arrested on Monday. He moved to the Madras High Court seeking to be declared her son, the HC ordered the police to arrest him for not only cheating the court but also for forging documents.

Krishnamoorthy also showed a copy of ‘will’ signed by his ‘parents’ Jayalalithaa and Telegu actor Shoban Babu.

The Crime Branch police informed the Madras High Court on Monday that the documents produced by Krishnamoorthy were forged.

Justice R. Mahadevan after recording the compliance directed the police to take appropriate action against him. The judge said, “He has not only cheated the court but also prepared forged documents.”

Police report said he was the son of some Vasanthamani and not Jayalalithaa. Police said he purchased old stamp papers from a local stamp vendor, Subramanian and the name of Jaya was written as Komalavalli alias Jayalalithaa.

Krishnamoorthy claimed that he was born to Jayalalithaa and Shoban Babu in Bengaluru on February 15, 1985.  Due to the difference of opinion, they got separated and he was given up for adoption and a couple in Erode adopted him. Not only that, he alleged AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala and her relatives also gave him life threats and sought the court to direct the police to provide him life securities.

He also submitted a deed of adoption which was allegedly signed by former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran as a witness.

The judge asserted that MG Ramachandran was not able to move his hand at the time the document was allegedly prepared.

He said even if these documents were placed before a lower kindergarten student, the child would say the papers were fabricated. He said the photo the petitioner attached was available in the public domain. He then directed the Additional Public Prosecutor Emilias to find out the genuineness of the documents.

As per the court’s direction, the Central Crime Branch examined all the documents which had photographs of Jayalalithaa and Shoban Babu and a signature of former CM MG Ramachandran.

The Central Crime Branch submitted a sealed cover which identified his parents in Tiruppur as his biological parents and thus Krishnamoorthy’s claim was dismissed.
