
A woman threw her neighbor’s five-year-old daughter from a 15-storied building during their massive quarrel. The infant died on the spot, police said.
The incident took place on Monday at Byculla in central Mumbai. The accused woman is yet to be arrested.
Police said that the victim’s mother is a traffic constable. The two women lived in the 15th apartment of the MHADA complex’s Bighnaharta building in Byculla. Flat, although were different, but they shared the same balcony.
The residents of the building claimed that a brawl was started between the constable and her neighbor on yesterday afternoon at around 12.30. The fight was dismissed for then but then the accused woman came back in the balcony a moment later. She allegedly threw the girl from there.
The girl was rescued from the scene and was taken to a private hospital in the area. There doctors declared her dead.
A police complaint was made after the incident. But why still the police couldn’t arrest her, this is a valuable question! However, police said the investigation is still underway.
