
Some get familiar for their good deed and some for their bad actions. And the world is full of bad people. If we talk about the criminal gangs then the perfect word is not only bad, it’s dangerous. The most dangerous gangs in the world are involved in drug and human trafficking, murder, blackmailing and etc. They are violent, ruthless; even they don’t care about children. These gangs can do anything and everything to fulfil their interest.
Mara Salvatrucha (MS 13)
MS 13 is one of the cruelest gangs in the world. The group was started in the 1980s in California when a group of Salvadorians fled the civil war in their country. The gang is dealing with drug smuggling, black market guns sales, human trafficking, contract killing, theft and assault. MS 13 has grown to over 70,000 members. They don’t have mercy even on children and women.
18th Street Gangs
This violent gang is also known as M 18 and started in Los Angeles, California. This gang has over 65,000 members in 120 cities. They are rivals with the Cribs, Bloods and MS 13. They have a policy; like the gang members beating 18 seconds to show proper respect to the gang. In fact, they are more ruthless than their rivals. Their kill count over three times as high as any of their rivals.
Bloods
The gang wearing red clothes and bandanas and their biggest rival is Cribs. Bloods founded in 1972 in Los Angeles as a club. Originally, they are a faction of Cribs. After breaking off, the ratio is 3:1 and it caused them to grow as more violent. The gang members identify themselves through some signs like clothing, symbols, colours, hand signs, language, jewellery, tattoos and graffiti.
Crips
This African-American gang is one of the biggest crime organisations in the world. The gang founded in 1969 in Los Angeles, California. The gang members are wearing blue clothes and carrying blue bandanas. They have more than 30,000 to 35,000 members. No doubt, like Bloods they are also violent but their most of their casualties come from their internal conflicts.
Yakuza
One of the main conditions to join this Japanese gang is the members have to cut all ties with their family. The members have to vow complete royalty to their leader. The members are generally heavily tattooed, that may be a reason tattoos are still considered taboo in Japan. It is said that Yakuza has more than 102,000 members.
The Hell’s Angels
This notorious bike’s gang is most well known criminal syndicate in the United States. Their objective is not only making money but they believe violence and lawlessness are an inherit part of living life. Police have classified them as one of the “Big Four” bike gangs. They are involved in drug trafficking, extortion, prostitution and extreme level of violence. The Hell’s Angels are well known for their patches and jackets which have the infamous logo read “Winged Death Heads” and their fondness for Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC)
This notorious gang can be found throughout the prison system of Sao Paolo and favela slums. The PCC actually control the local state prison system. They are involved in crimes such as extortion, murder and kidnapping. The gang is so much powerful that it seized the entire city in 2006 for nearly a week as the gang killed police officers and burned down government buildings. After the end of the turbulence, at least 150 people were dead.
Los Zetas
This Mexican gang is one of the most powerful drug cartels in the world. This gang has control over 11 states in Mexico and killing people is included in their regular routine. Apart from Mexico, they have their connections with US. The US government said Los Zetas is “the most technologically advanced, sophisticated, vicious, ruthlessly violent and dangerous cartel operating in Mexico.” They mercilessly torturing and murdering the rival gang members, police, informers, journalists, politicians and innocent citizens.
Latin Kings
Latin Kings are one of the best organised latin gangs in the world. They also have constitution including Marxism, Christianity and Confucianism. The gang was formed in the 1940s in Chicago. Well, they are not as violent as the other gangs. They engage in illegal money-making activities and contract killings.
Cosa Nostra
Cosa Nostra is highly organised but they are extremely brutal. The gang is the extension of the Sicilian Mafia. It is said that they have almost 25,000 members with 250,000 affiliates worldwide. The Italian word Cosa Nostra means “our thing”. They are so merciless that if a member breaks any rules then his punishment is death and the cruelest thing is he is executed by those who are closest to him. The gang members are involved in murder, loan sharking, drug trafficking and other crimes.
Mongols
The Mongols are the rival of the Hell’s Angels. Their activities are similar to Hell’s Angeles. They are often involved in bloody and violent clashes with the rival gang.
Triads
This Chinese crime syndicate is a conglomeration of gangs which has over 2.5 million members in the world. Each branch has their own rules and customs but the Triads are known for their organised structure and bloody rituals. The gangs are engaged in drug trafficking and extreme violence.
Aryan Brotherhood
This notorious gang is also known as The Brand. The Aryan Brotherhood is responsible for ¼ prison murders in the US. If someone wants to be a member of this gang he has to kill or assault a fellow prisoner. This practice is known as “blood in, blood out”. The gang membership is for life. If anyone wants to leave the gang the member either ends up dead or in the hospital.
The Mungiki
The gang consists of over 100,000 gang members in the group. The Mungiki is operating in the slums of Nairobi. They are not only criminal syndicate but it’s a terrorist group. They are known for their brutal acts; beheading anyone who opposes them and the brutal practice of female genital mutilation. The group also has significant political and economic influence. Their symbol is not any specific colour cloth like Bloods or Crips; in fact, their symbol is as wild as the group – a severed human head on a stick.
Wah Ching
The Chinese gang is also known as “Dub C”. Founded in the 1960s in San Francisco, Wah Ching is good at money making. The gang is composed mostly of young men. They are involved in money laundering and financial crimes in Los Angeles and eastern Asia.
