Pop singer Maddona frankly admitted that she thought about bombing the White House for a single reason, Donald Trump’s win. Like many artists, writers, who weren’t happy with Trump’s win, Maddona also joined the Sunday’s protest march.
The singer said she “refused to accept the new age of tyranny” while speaking at the Women’s March on Washington. She said that no women of the country wanted to see Trump as a President.
She added that she wished to kill Trump the day when he won the election. She thought to blew up the White House the very first day of the inauguration.
“I’m angry,” Madonna said. “Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House. But I know that this won’t change anything. We cannot fall into despair. As the poet W.H. Auden once wrote on the eve of World War II, we must love one another or die. I choose love. Are you with me? Say this with me — ‘We choose love.’ We choose love. We choose love.”
“It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f*** up. We have slipped into a false sense of comfort. Good did not win this election, but good will win in the end.”
Initially, Maddona wasn’t supposed to come on Sunday’s rally. She suddenly appeared after the procession begins.
She told the reporters clearly that she wants to stay at the forefront all the time of the every antagonism.
And why wouldn’t she! Trump had insulted women in different ways since the election promotion. Soon after coming to power, he abused journalists by calling them inhuman. It’s in his nature. So it’s has made clear on the inauguration day that the storm of protest will shake America for the next 3 years.
